
About Late Fredrick Drandua
Late Bishop. Frederick Drandua, was born in Uleppi Parish on 12th August 1943, was ordained a Priest on 9th August 1970. On 15 January, 1985 he was handed the administration of the Diocese, previously Bishop Tarantino’s Vicar General. Msgr. Drandua led the Diocese as a Diocesan Administrator until He was appointed Bishop of Arua Diocese on 27th May 1986.
The Late Fredrick Drandua was the First Black Bishop of Arua Diocese, During his Episcopal Work The late worked Tirelessly together with the Clergy, Religious and Lay Faithful in the Diocese of Arua.
As one of his Achievements out of Many he welcomed the idea for establishment of Vocational Institution and offered part of Diocese Plot to build the School and both Worked together with Late Flaminio Mirieli (Italian) who proposed to start the school for the Community to benefit from especially the Vulnerable.
Due to health condition Bishop Frederick retired from the Episcopal See of Arua Diocese on 19th August 2009. September 1, 2016, Died at St. Francis Nsambya hospital.May his Soul Rest in Peace.
